| | Keith Metzler
Director of Economic Development
Mr. Keith Metzler is the Director of Economic Development for the City of Victorville and is responsible for directing activities of the Victorville Redevelopment Agency, the Southern California Logistics Airport, the City of Victorville's business development activities, and it's CDBG/HOME programs. Mr. Metzler is currently responsible for managing budgets in excess of $100 million.
In addition to the role of Director of Economic Development, Mr. Metzler also serves as President and CEO of Regional Center Victorville Development, Inc. (RCVD, Inc.), a non-profit public benefit corporation and is the Executive Director for the Victor Valley Economic Development Authority (VVEDA), a joint powers redevelopment authority.
Serving the City of Victorville, Mr. Metzler has developed approximately 3-million square feet of manufacturing and industrial space occupied by tenants including ConAgra Foods, Nutro Products, The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and M&M/Mars. Mr. Metzler was responsible for developing the Auto Park at Valley Center, the City's auto mall comprising 12-auto franchises. Most recently, Mr. Metzler completed negotiations with the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group (DPSG) to build an 850,000 square foot manufacturing and warehouse facility expected to employ 210 people and cost $120 million to build. Mr. Metzler also has an extensive background in municipal bond financing.
Mr. Metzler earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside and a Masters degree in Business Administration from California State University, San Bernardino. Victorville is home to Keith, his wife and their 4 year old daughter. | |
